PE

PE (Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic resin synthesized from ethylene. This is the largest plastic in the world thanks to its flexibility, durability and reasonable price. PE is divided into 3 types: LDPE (Low-Density PE); HDPE (High-Density PE)LLDPE (Linear Low-Density PE)

Applications

Packaging industry: Plastic bags, garbage bags, shrink film, food wrap Household - industrial: Water pipes, plastic cans, plastic boxes, chemical containers Electrical - electronic industry: Insulation for wires, equipment shells Agricultural industry: Greenhouse film, irrigation pipes

Properties Details

State Solid, opaque white or translucent Good mechanical strength, high stretchability, flexible Chemical inertness Good water resistance, acid, alkali and solvent resistance Insulation Very good insulation Melting temperature About 105 - 135°C (depending on PE type) DPE (Low-Density PE) Soft, flexible, low tensile strength, less heat resistant than HDPE HDPE (High-Density PE) Hard, durable, better heat resistant than LDPE LLDPE (Linear Low-Density PE) A blend of LDPE and HDPE
